This P1 system was developed as a result of the water shortages, drought conditions and energy constraints across the globe and to improve Sustainable Farming Practices. The main objective is water and energy saving by delivering the water directly to the root zone, thus eliminating evaporation of surface water which in turn also dramatically reduces the weed growth on the surface and saves on weed control pesticides.

Irrigation cycles can be cut be cut down dramatically.

This system can also reduce the carbon emissions from fertilisers by applying them below the surface and not being subject to evaporation which is becoming a huge factor on the Global Green Gas Emissions.

DEEP-ROOT SOIL AMENDING IRRIGATION

The latest offering by DNA Irrigation is their Deep-Root Soil Amendment and Moisture Retentive Technology. This system opens new possibilities across the agricultural sector. This is especially valuable to high drought regions with poor soils and percolation issues where water retention and irrigation water costs are of utmost concern.

This DNA Irrigation P2 directly feeds the root bowl, producing maximum efficiencies. The deep-root dispenser “POD” introduces moist nutrient rich soil to the capillary root zone. Sub-surface deep-root irrigation has proven substantial water savings.

The DNA Irrigation P2 contains moisture retentive elements that are ideal for sandy soils. Improved zonal soil conditions increase both the yield and farm value.
